Gem Prep: Meridian South is a free public charter school opening in August 2022. The school will initially enroll students in grades K-5 and will grow to serve all grades K-12. Gem Prep: Meridian South will be located in the subdivision of Pinnacle near Discovery Park to make accessibility within the community easy for families.
Part of a network of college-preparatory charter schools across Idaho, Gem Prep: Meridian South’s focus is to provide a rigorous and joyful learning experience for all students while preparing them for success through college. With two graduation pathways, Gem Prep scholars have the opportunity to complete either 18+ dual college credits or their AA degree, tuition-free while in high school.
Registration for enrollment begins in February, with the lottery draw being held in March. Families may apply directly from the website. Students who apply after the lottery draw will be placed on a waitlist and enrolled as soon as seats become available.
